This low-volume layer does not affect play characteristics, surface behavior, or player interaction in any significant way. Its purpose is to support regulatory compliance, ensuring that our systems remain eligible for certification and competitive bids if needed. Importantly, this infill is applied with no significant change to the installation process, no impact on durability, and no compromise to our core design philosophy.

Pure PT can be installed directly on standard bases commonly used for turf systems, including both loose stone aggregates and rigid engineered bases. Shockpad can be used with any Pure PT system depending on preference. For some sports like rugby, a shockpad is required.

Pure PT remains stable across a wide range of temperatures and can be combined with cooling technology if needed in hotter regions or supported by snow clearing. Pure PT fields have been installed in very cold winter climates and are used in extreme cold conditions following snow clearance, which is much easier than sand and rubber systems that hold water and freeze. It has also been installed in very hot climates and experiences much lower heat stress and peak temperatures compared to rubber-filled turf.
